Automated backport of #2840 to stable (backport job run).

AI recommendation: This is a self-contained, backwards-compatible feature that adds an optional cancel reason to the existing run cancellation flow, and all the modified files (packages/world, world-vercel, core, web-shared, workflow) plus the docs/content/ doc are present and maintained on stable. It does not depend on any main-only APIs, so it applies cleanly to stable.

Merge conflicts were resolved by AI (opencode with anthropic/claude-opus-4.8). Please review the conflict resolution carefully before merging.

Automated backport of #2840 to stable (backport job run).
AI recommendation: This is a self-contained, backwards-compatible feature that adds an optional cancel reason to the existing run cancellation flow, and all the modified files (packages/world, world-vercel, core, web-shared, workflow) plus the docs/content/ doc are present and maintained on stable. It does not depend on any main-only APIs, so it applies cleanly to stable.
