AI recommendation: This is a self-contained documentation improvement to AGENTS.md, which exists on stable with the same surrounding sections (## Code Style and ## Documentation Standards) and does not yet have the new "Local Checks vs. CI" section. The guidance about advisory lint/format/typecheck checks applies equally to agents working on either branch, so it should apply cleanly and is worth keeping in sync.
