Hi there 👋

I am Yuqing "Iris" Chen (she/her).

I'm a Ph.D. candidate at Cornell University.

  • 🧬 I apply statistical and machine learning methods to genomic sequencing data to address biological questions in evolutionary genomics and cancer diagnostics.
  • 👩🏻‍💻 My toolkit includes bioinformatics, genomics, NGS data analysis, machine learning, statistical modeling, simulations, and scientific computing.
  • 💻 I enjoy applying computational methods that transform NGS data into actionable insights, from statistical genomics to DNA foundation-model–based deep learning.
