Steps to Reproduce and Observed Behavior

  1. build the bootstrap compiler, following Add an easy way to build from source without LLVM #17892
  2. zig-out/bin/zig test -fllvm file.zig

The output is:

LLVM Emit Object... error(codegen): emitting without libllvm not implemented
error(gpa): memory address 0x7feb8c4a3000 leaked:

followed by the zig test process starting using 100% of the CPU.

Expected Behavior

The compiler should report the error early, before starting the codegen phase.
