🎯 What: Extracted nested logic in build_comparison_report into dedicated helper functions (_calculate_deltas and _calculate_next_defaults).
💡 Why:build_comparison_report was overly lengthy and complex due to handling delta calculations, state updates, and output formatting all in one place. By breaking it into smaller helpers, the code is much more readable and easier to maintain.
Verification: Verified by writing unit tests in outputs/test_openfold3_msa_weighting_pipeline.py which validate both the helper functions and the overall output of the top-level report generation. All 5 tests pass successfully.
Result: Improved maintainability and modularity of the reporting logic in outputs/openfold3_msa_weighting_pipeline.py without modifying the existing functionality.
