Hi 👋 My name is Alfred de Vulpian

Data & AI Student

I've been passionate about coding for 7 years, starting with Python during high school. Since then, I've explored data science, AI, and software engineering through personal projects and studies at ECE Paris. I enjoy building clean, efficient solutions and experimenting with new technologies — from automation scripts to full-fledged ML models. I'm also a curious tinkerer, always trying out new tools like local LLMs, robotics projects, and anything that pushes my understanding further.

Favorite Projects

Here are some of my favorite projects:

  • My own local implementation of the architecture of the DeepSeek-OCR model.
  • Used local CLIP and SAM models using the transformers library and Ollama.

2️⃣ RAG Pipeline

  • Built an end to end local RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) pipeline, enabling user to query their sources.
  • Full local execution, with mistral:latest and mxbai-embed-large embedding model thanks to Ollama.
  • Created a genetic algorithm to train AI models to race on a circuit.
  • Gained hands-on experience with evolutionary computation and optimization strategies.

4️⃣ GAN

  • Built a gan (Generative Adversarial Network) trained on the mnist dataset to gain knowledge about this architecture
  • Built with Python.
  • Built a system using computer vision to recognize ingredients placed in a fridge and suggest recipes based on their availability.
  • Utilized Python, YOLO, and Spoonacular API for object detection and recipe recommendation.
