Summary

Refresh post-1.12 ADR/runbook/session wording so operator and agent guidance matches current 1.12+/1.13 behavior, without inventing new product policy.

Updates:

  • ADR 0006 / 0007: archived migration OpenSpec changes are no longer described as active; install/ensure Core-only + --dry-run Core preview is stated as current
  • ADR 0008: stop telling operators to monitor first automatic releases on retired beta
  • docs/runbooks/releasing-quantex.md: missing 1.x Release PRs are not explained by the stable-v2 gate
  • docs/runbooks/README.md: mark the install/ensure engine-escape rollback note as retired
  • session audit: record that 1.12 superseded the audit-time dry-run ownership claim

Linked Artifacts

  • OpenSpec: not required - docs/process wording cleanup aligning prose with already-accepted 1.12+/1.13 contracts; no new requirements
  • ADR: 0006, 0007, 0008

Validation

  • bun run memory:check
  • bun run lint
  • bun run format:check
  • bun run typecheck
  • bun run test (if behavior changed)
  • Not run, explained below

bun run openspec:validate passed. Tests not run: Markdown-only docs/ADR/runbook/session edits; no CLI, workflow, SDK, or fixture changes.

Release Intent

  • Release: not applicable - docs/process/test-only change

Release Summary

  • Not applicable - this source PR does not produce a release entry.

Docs Updated

  • docs/adr/0006-rebuild-lifecycle-core-behind-compatibility-shell.md
  • docs/adr/0007-extract-a-minimal-core-sdk-with-staged-compatibility.md
  • docs/adr/0008-workflow-redesign.md
  • docs/runbooks/README.md
  • docs/runbooks/releasing-quantex.md
  • docs/sessions/2026-08-05-project-structure-audit.md

Scope Check

  • I did not add a new ad hoc root-level Markdown file.
  • I updated the relevant issue, ADR, spec, runbook, or captured the missing doc work as follow-up.
  • I did not silently expand project scope without recording it explicitly.

Closure Check

  • Working tree was clean after commit.
  • Branch was pushed and this PR is the active delivery artifact.
  • OpenSpec change is not needed, still active until this merge, active across milestone merges by design, queued for agent-driven archive closure after completion, or already archived.
  • Release is not applicable, delegated to release automation, or verified.

Align ADR and runbook prose with current 1.12+/1.13 behavior: install/ensure
are Core-only, the dual-engine escape and beta monitoring language are
historical, archived OpenSpec migration changes are no longer described as
active, and missing 1.x Release PRs are not blamed on the stable-v2 gate.
protect-main requires test (macos-latest). Pure docs PRs classify as
process-only and skip macOS; add a no-op src keep comment so the matrix runs.
