Collaborator

Summary

OSS readiness: when the repo goes public, the agent team bots only engage with collaborator-authored issues. External submissions are invisible.

How it works

Shell scripts (refactor.sh, security.sh, qa.sh):

  • Source .claude/scripts/collaborator-gate.sh
  • If SPAWN_ISSUE is set, check author via gh api repos/.../collaborators/AUTHOR
  • Non-collaborator → exit 0 silently. Bot never sees the issue.

Prompts (discovery, refactor community-coordinator, security issue-checker):

  • Added collaborator check instructions before issue engagement
  • gh api repos/OpenRouterTeam/spawn/collaborators/AUTHOR --silent → skip if 404

Caching:

  • Collaborator list cached at /tmp/spawn-collaborators-cache for 10 minutes
  • Avoids API rate limits when processing multiple issues

Files changed

Test plan

  • 2090 tests pass
  • Manual: open issue from non-collaborator account, verify bots don't respond

When the repo goes public, anyone can open issues/PRs. The agent team
must only engage with collaborators — external submissions are invisible.
Shell scripts (refactor, security, qa): source collaborator-gate.sh and
exit 0 if SPAWN_ISSUE author is not a collaborator. The bots never see
the issue — no comment, no triage, no response.
Prompts (discovery issue-responder, refactor community-coordinator,
security issue-checker): check gh api collaborators endpoint before
engaging with any issue.
Collaborator list is cached for 10 minutes to avoid API rate limits.

LGTM. OSS-readiness gate is the right shape:

  • Shared collaborator-gate.sh with a 10-minute cache keeps API pressure down when multiple issues are processed back-to-back.
  • Fail-closed posture is correct — exit 0 silently on non-collaborator, never comment, never acknowledge.
  • Both shell-script enforcement (refactor/security/qa) and prompt-level reminders (discovery/coordinator/checker) — belt + suspenders.
  • macOS-compatible stat fallback (stat -c %Y || stat -f %m) is a nice touch.

Shipping.

Collaborator

Summary

OSS readiness: when the repo goes public, the agent team bots only engage with collaborator-authored issues. External submissions are invisible.

How it works

Shell scripts (refactor.sh, security.sh, qa.sh):

  • Source .claude/scripts/collaborator-gate.sh
  • If SPAWN_ISSUE is set, check author via gh api repos/.../collaborators/AUTHOR
  • Non-collaborator → exit 0 silently. Bot never sees the issue.

Prompts (discovery, refactor community-coordinator, security issue-checker):

  • Added collaborator check instructions before issue engagement
  • gh api repos/OpenRouterTeam/spawn/collaborators/AUTHOR --silent → skip if 404

Caching:

  • Collaborator list cached at /tmp/spawn-collaborators-cache for 10 minutes
  • Avoids API rate limits when processing multiple issues

Test plan

  • bash -n passes on all 4 scripts
  • 2090 tests pass
  • Manual: open issue from non-collaborator account, verify bots don't respond

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

  • macOS-compatible stat fallback (stat -c %Y || stat -f %m) is a nice touch.
