Patrik Homelab

🏠 Welcome to Patrik's Homelab

This organization houses the code, services, and custom applications that run on my personal home server infrastructure. While my main profile contains my broader software development work, dotfiles, and astrophotography tools, this space is dedicated to the infrastructure that powers my daily life, family network, and media hosting.

🖥️ Hardware Specifications

My homelab is built for a balance of power efficiency and storage reliability:

  • Compute: Intel N100 with 32GB DDR4 RAM
  • Main Storage: 4TB usable capacity configured in ZFS RAID 5 (3x 2TB HDDs)
  • Surveillance Storage: 1x 3TB WD Purple dedicated entirely to camera records

🏗️ Infrastructure & Environment

The physical server runs Proxmox VE, managing a strictly organized environment of Virtual Machines and LXC containers on a internal network.

Traffic is routed securely via an Nginx Gateway (with SSL certs and reverse proxy rules), while Pi-hole handles network-wide DNS and ad-blocking. The infrastructure is segmented by purpose:

  • Smart Home & Automation: Home Assistant (HAOS) VM.
  • Media & Storage: Nextcloud for private cloud, Samba for network storage, and Jellyfin for media streaming.
  • App Hosting: Dedicated LXC containers for my Node.js web apps and bots, alongside a separate container for legacy PHP support.
  • Databases & Docker: MariaDB and Redis LXCs, plus a dedicated Docker VM managing Portainer, Vaultwarden, and Pterodactyl Wings.

🧱 Hosted Projects

These are the custom, public repositories currently maintained and deployed within the homelab environment:

  • FileManager A simple, custom application built in SvelteKit for securely uploading and managing files (primarily images) directly on the server.
  • Web The source code for my personal portfolio website hosted at patrick115.eu, utilizing SvelteKit and modern web standards.
  • FamilyAPP A centralized, custom-built application I am currently developing to organize and streamline things for my family.

🛠️ Homelab Tech Stack

The custom applications hosted in this organization are primarily built using my standard, preferred stack:

  • Framework: SvelteKit (Svelte + Node.js)
  • Language: TypeScript
  • Styling: Tailwind CSS
  • Database: MariaDB (preferred) / MySQL
