Temporarily reverts #462 so its original head branch can be updated with the installed-SLAB reuse fix and the current documentation test repair, then merged back as a replacement PR.

Validation:

  • npm run build passes
  • npm test has the existing src/skills.test.ts retired-skill documentation failure from current main; the replacement PR fixes it
