Description

Split out from #4743 into smaller, per-module PRs to make review easier. This PR contains only the tidy-up changes to solr/modules/extraction.

Solution

Leverage IntelliJ warnings (unused imports/fields, redundant modifiers, isEmpty()/diamond-operator idioms, javadoc/comment fixes). No behavior changes.

Wondering why interface was chosen for these constants ? Are we allowing sub-classes to change these values ?

Split out from #4743 into smaller, per-module PRs to make review easier. This PR contains only the tidy-up changes to solr/modules/extraction.

Solution

Leverage IntelliJ warnings (unused imports/fields, redundant modifiers, isEmpty()/diamond-operator idioms, javadoc/comment fixes). No behavior changes.

Which best practice rule is this? Is it the "public" part that is unneccessary or the static final part?

Wondering why interface was chosen for these constants ? Are we allowing sub-classes to change these values ?
