Release v0.2.53 bump (host rant 2026-08-19T11:41:56). v0.2.52 shipped #857-#861; this release carries the two commits merged after the v0.2.52 tag:
8 files / 9 refs bumped 0.2.52 → 0.2.53 (standard release pattern). Local import + CLI verified; full suite runs in CI.
