What Changed

The landing page tweet wall was mostly anonymous jokes from a May thread. People like Corey Quinn have been posting real quotes since then, and those were not on the site.

This swaps in those quotes, trims them to fit the cards, and stores matching 200x200 webp avatars the same way as the existing set.

Added:

  • Corey Quinn (QuinnyPig): transformational, plus the from-my-phone one
  • Ryan Hughes (ryanrhughes): stolen from the terminal, plus the 36,000ft LAN one
  • Rhys Sullivan (RhysSullivan)
  • Joshua Riley (JoshuaRileyDev)
  • Nuno Maduro (enunomaduro)

Replaced:

  • Tanner Linsley: the old "once it supports Claude Code" line is stale
  • Aron Prins: the newer Claude+Codex combined quote is stronger

Dropped the lukewarm ones (jetpackjoe_, uwunetes, peculiarnewbie, gnukeith).

Skipped DHH. That post is about shipping T3 Code in Omarchy, not a product quote.

Why

Named developers saying the product is good is a better landing-page signal than "pretty alright I guess."

UI Changes

Same carousel. New quotes and avatars only. No layout change.

Checklist

  • This PR is small and focused
  • I explained what changed and why
  • I included before/after screenshots for any UI changes
  • I included a video for animation/interaction changes

Made with Grok 4.6.

Note

Low Risk
Marketing-only static content; no auth, APIs, or app logic—only which quotes appear and in what order on the landing page.

Overview
Refreshes the marketing landing page tweet wall by rewriting the tweets export in tweets.ts: stronger, named-developer quotes replace older or weaker entries, with new excerpt text on several cards for shorter display.

Adds testimonials from QuinnyPig, Rhys Sullivan, Joshua Riley, Nuno Maduro, and two from Ryan Hughes; swaps Tanner Linsley and Aron Prins to newer posts (including dropping the stale “once it supports Claude Code” line). Removes lukewarm or redundant items (jetpackjoe_, uwunetes, peculiarnewbie, gnukeith) and reorders the list so the existing carousel splits on index.astro surface the new mix. Same carousel UI—only quote text, links, handles, and ordering change.

Reviewed by Cursor Bugbot for commit fdca8d5. Bugbot is set up for automated code reviews on this repo. Configure here.

Note

Update marketing landing page testimonials with named-developer quotes

  • Replaces the testimonial collection in tweets.ts with a 21-entry set, adding quotes for QuinnyPig, ryanrhughes, RhysSullivan, JoshuaRileyDev, and enunomaduro, and removing entries for gnukeith, peculiarnewbie, jetpackjoe_, and uwunetes.
  • Adds WebP profile pictures for the new contributors and deletes the removed ones from apps/marketing/public/pfps/.
  • Updates the aronprins testimonial text and link, and adds excerpts to several existing entries.
  • Behavioral Change: the exported tweets collection now supplies a different ordered set of testimonials; any code or tests referencing removed entries by index will be misaligned.

Macroscope summarized fdca8d5.
