Summary

  • Adds sharingModel?: "thread" | "channel" | "message" field to LinkTypeConfig in Twister. Optional, defaults to "thread" for backward compat.
  • Declares sharingModel explicitly on every existing connector — Slack (channel for threads, thread for DMs), Linear, Gmail (message), Google Calendar, plus the remaining 14: airtable, apple-calendar, asana, attio, fellow, github, google-chat (per-type), google-drive, google-tasks, granola, jira, ms-teams (per-type), outlook-calendar, todoist.

The field declares how sharing on threads of this link type is scoped:

  • "thread": one roster shared across all notes (default). Native threads, Slack DMs, calendar events.
  • "channel": visibility is the external channel/project's membership; per-thread contacts ignored. Slack channels, Linear projects.
  • "message": each note carries its own recipient set via note.access_contacts; thread roster is the union. Email.

Consumed by the Plot client app's main repo for header rendering (channel title for channel-mode, per-viewer AvatarGroup for message-mode), per-note divergence badges, and modal Dropped section.

Test plan

  • pnpm validate-changesets passes
  • Per-connector pnpm exec tsc --noEmit clean (verified during cherry-pick from the consuming branch)
  • CI passes on push

Summary
  • Adds sharingModel?: "thread" | "channel" | "message" field to LinkTypeConfig in Twister. Optional, defaults to "thread" for backward compat.
  • Declares sharingModel explicitly on every existing connector — Slack (channel for threads, thread for DMs), Linear, Gmail (message), Google Calendar, plus the remaining 14: airtable, apple-calendar, asana, attio, fellow, github, google-chat (per-type), google-drive, google-tasks, granola, jira, ms-teams (per-type), outlook-calendar, todoist.
The field declares how sharing on threads of this link type is scoped:
  • "thread": one roster shared across all notes (default). Native threads, Slack DMs, calendar events.
  • "channel": visibility is the external channel/project's membership; per-thread contacts ignored. Slack channels, Linear projects.
  • "message": each note carries its own recipient set via note.access_contacts; thread roster is the union. Email.
Consumed by the Plot client app's main repo for header rendering (channel title for channel-mode, per-viewer AvatarGroup for message-mode), per-note divergence badges, and modal Dropped section.
Test plan
  • pnpm validate-changesets passes
  •  Per-connector pnpm exec tsc --noEmit clean (verified during cherry-pick from the consuming branch)
  •  CI passes on push

Explicit sharingModel on every LinkTypeConfig so intent is documented
and there is no implicit fallback to "thread". Models applied:
- channel: airtable, asana, attio (all 3 types), github (PR + issue),
google-chat/thread, jira, ms-teams/thread
- thread: apple-calendar, fellow, google-chat/dm, google-drive (all 5),
google-tasks, granola, ms-teams/dm, outlook-calendar, todoist
All connectors pass pnpm exec tsc --noEmit.
