This PR was opened by the Changesets release GitHub action. When you're ready to do a release, you can merge this and the packages will be published to npm automatically. If you're not ready to do a release yet, that's fine, whenever you add more changesets to main, this PR will be updated.

Releases

@plotday/twister@0.53.0

Added

  • ActionType.fileRef and Connector.downloadAttachment for source-hosted attachments, plus the Files tool with read(fileId) for outbound R2 reads. Connectors emit fileRef actions during inbound sync and serve their bytes on demand via downloadAttachment. Outbound continues to use ActionType.file backed by Plot's R2 storage. (112854c)
  • LinkTypeConfig.contactRoles and supportsContactChanges for per-connector contact role declarations (email To/CC/BCC, calendar Required/Optional, etc.). One role is marked default; roles marked hidden (BCC-style) are filtered server-side so they're only visible to the contact themselves and the user who added them. NewContact accepts an optional role that connectors set on inbound sync. New Connector.onContactsChanged callback fires when a user adds/removes contacts or changes a role on a thread. (#1504556dde)
  • LinkTypeConfig.targets and CreateLinkDraft.recipients / ResolvedRecipient to support contact-targeted link types (e.g. messaging DMs) where the runtime pre-resolves Plot contacts to platform account IDs before dispatching onCreateLink. (#148c556f5d)
  • Reaction, Reactions, NewReactions types and a reactions field on ThreadCommon (covering both Thread and Note), along with optional reactions?: NewReactions on NewThread, NewNote, ThreadUpdate, NoteUpdate. Also adds Connector.reactionCapabilities (open-unicode / unicode-subset / fixed) so the Plot picker and outbound dispatch can filter reactions to what the source platform supports. Foundation for higher-fidelity emoji reaction sync across Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, LinkedIn Messaging, and Plot-native threads. (#1512f904bb)
  • LinkTypeConfig.noteLabel for per-type adaptive copy (e.g. "Comment" on Linear issues, "Message" on Slack). Clients use it to render type-aware composer hints and command titles like "Add a comment". (#148707b7df)
  • sharingModel field on LinkTypeConfig to declare per-link-type sharing scope ("thread", "channel", or "message"). Defaults to "thread" when omitted. Connectors use "channel" for membership-based containers (Slack channels, Linear projects) and "message" for per-recipient threads (email). (#154026e122)
  • handle and threadType fields in twist package.json. handle is the at-mention / attribution label (defaults to displayName). threadType, when present, makes the twist appear in the new-thread connection picker with the given label. (#1533a26cce)

Changed

  • NewContact.source no longer includes provider — the runtime stamps it from the dispatching twist instance. Connectors should drop source.provider and pass just source: { accountId }.
  • replaced LinkTypeConfig.targets and the status-level createDefault flag with a single LinkTypeConfig.compose block that declares whether (and how) the link type is composable from Plot. Each compose carries targets (picker mode — "channels" / "contacts" / "addresses"), status (default status for created links — may be a symbolic id the connector resolves itself, e.g. Linear's per-team UUIDs), and optional label (picker copy override).

Removed

  • Integrations.actAs() has been removed.
  • count-tag entries (Tag.Yes through Tag.Dismayed, IDs 1000–1027) from the Tag enum. The full Unicode emoji Reaction type (added in the previous changeset) replaces them; connectors that previously wrote note.tags[Tag.Yes] now write note.reactions['👍']. Compute (Todo, Done) and toggle tags (Pinned, Urgent, …, Idea) are unchanged. (#1512595e9b)
  • 10 toggle-tag entries (Tag.Pinned, Tag.Urgent, Tag.Goal, Tag.Decision, Tag.Waiting, Tag.Blocked, Tag.Warning, Tag.Question, Tag.Star, Tag.Idea) and the tag?: Tag field on LinkTypeConfig.statuses[]. The status-tag propagation mechanism is retired — connectors signal completion via the done: true boolean and messaging-active state via active: true, which is what was driving behaviour anyway. Reactions on threads/notes flow exclusively through the open Unicode emoji Reaction type.

Removed

  • Integrations.actAs() has been removed.
  • count-tag entries (Tag.Yes through Tag.Dismayed, IDs 1000–1027) from the Tag enum. The full Unicode emoji Reaction type (added in the previous changeset) replaces them; connectors that previously wrote note.tags[Tag.Yes] now write note.reactions['👍']. Compute (Todo, Done) and toggle tags (Pinned, Urgent, …, Idea) are unchanged. (#1512595e9b)
  • 10 toggle-tag entries (Tag.Pinned, Tag.Urgent, Tag.Goal, Tag.Decision, Tag.Waiting, Tag.Blocked, Tag.Warning, Tag.Question, Tag.Star, Tag.Idea) and the tag?: Tag field on LinkTypeConfig.statuses[]. The status-tag propagation mechanism is retired — connectors signal completion via the done: true boolean and messaging-active state via active: true, which is what was driving behaviour anyway. Reactions on threads/notes flow exclusively through the open Unicode emoji Reaction type.

This PR was opened by the Changesets release GitHub action. When you're ready to do a release, you can merge this and the packages will be published to npm automatically. If you're not ready to do a release yet, that's fine, whenever you add more changesets to main, this PR will be updated.

Releases

@plotday/twister@0.53.0
