DO NOT MERGE

V1 experiment for Sameer's personal fork. This archive/restore feature stack is based independently on personal/v1-efficiency-base.

Archiving a worktree thread previously left the checkout on disk indefinitely. It also allowed archive/turn races that could leave work running against a removed workspace.

This change makes archive destructive for managed worktrees: it blocks dirty, detached, mismatched, active, and queued states; stops the provider and terminals; removes the clean worktree without force; and recreates the same branch/path on Unarchive. Archive and restore are serialized across web/mobile clients, revalidate immediately before deletion, preserve shared workspaces, and compensate safely when cleanup fails.

Validation:

  • vp test run apps/server/src/server.test.ts -t worktree (16 passed)
  • vp test run apps/server/src/server.test.ts -t archive (11 passed)
  • vp test run apps/server/src/orchestration/decider.settled.test.ts -t archive (2 passed)
  • focused server lint
  • server typecheck
  • live T3 web-client pass: dirty archive refused; clean archive removed the exact worktree; Settings > Archive restored the same path/branch/commit; the final clean archive removed it again

This change makes archive destructive for managed worktrees: it blocks dirty, detached, mismatched, active, and queued states; stops the provider and terminals; removes the clean worktree without force; and recreates the same branch/path on Unarchive. Archive and restore are serialized across web/mobile clients, revalidate immediately before deletion, preserve shared workspaces, and compensate safely when cleanup fails.
Validation:
  • vp test run apps/server/src/server.test.ts -t worktree (16 passed)
  • vp test run apps/server/src/server.test.ts -t archive (11 passed)
  • vp test run apps/server/src/orchestration/decider.settled.test.ts -t archive (2 passed)
  • focused server lint
  • server typecheck
  • live T3 web-client pass: dirty archive refused; clean archive removed the exact worktree; Settings > Archive restored the same path/branch/commit; the final clean archive removed it again

V1 experiment for Sameer's personal fork. This archive/restore feature stack is based independently on personal/v1-efficiency-base.
Archiving a worktree thread previously left the checkout on disk indefinitely. It also allowed archive/turn races that could leave work running against a removed workspace.
