Description

Calcite makeExactLiteral() cannot accept negative scale of decimal literal.

 public RexLiteral makeExactLiteral(BigDecimal bd) {
RelDataType relType;
int scale = bd.scale();
assert scale >= 0;
...

But when a Double value convert to BigDecimal, its scale could be negative due to Double's scientific notation. For example,

 double a = 9223372036854775807.0000001;
BigDecimal b = BigDecimal.valueOf(a);

b.scale() return -3

Description

Calcite makeExactLiteral() cannot accept negative scale of decimal literal.

 public RexLiteral makeExactLiteral(BigDecimal bd) {
RelDataType relType;
int scale = bd.scale();
assert scale >= 0;
...

But when a Double value convert to BigDecimal, its scale could be negative due to Double's scientific notation. For example,

 double a = 9223372036854775807.0000001;
BigDecimal b = BigDecimal.valueOf(a);

b.scale() return -3

Description

Calcite makeExactLiteral() cannot accept negative scale of decimal literal.

 public RexLiteral makeExactLiteral(BigDecimal bd) {
RelDataType relType;
int scale = bd.scale();
assert scale >= 0;
...

But when a Double value convert to BigDecimal, its scale could be negative due to Double's scientific notation. For example,

 double a = 9223372036854775807.0000001;
BigDecimal b = BigDecimal.valueOf(a);

b.scale() return -3
