add the cl_stream_prepare_skl to alloc the DMA buffer and init the DMA

1. enable the skl core
2. get the ROM int

where does 0x40 come from ? this should probably be a macro

If we need any macros we should define locally.

OK, my question is to create a new head file like hda-skl.h, or just define it in hda-loader.c now? For there are too much defines for the registers, I prefer using a new head file..

The registers should mostly be the same as existing ones for APL, you may need to check each one being used.

We already have a function for creating BDLE and should reuse it.

ok, so I guess this is where we differ from APL, if so is it all the register write below or only some ?

Sorry, I use the error branch to push another PR, and now I update it.
WIth this PR 2310452 is to enable the core, and I think it is OK to merge now with some comments added.
The second is b0c3460 and is only to change the old ops from apl to skl, this is also ok to merge
The third is to alloc the dma buffer, 81b2f48 , I will do change with your comments.

The problem is caused by use of a static array to store
environment-string pointers. When the routine is called by multiple
threads concurrently, the pointers from one thread can overwrite those
from another.
The solution is to use an ordinary automatic array instead of a static
array.

fib_info_notify_update() is always called with RTNL held, but not from
an RCU read-side critical section. This leads to the following warning
[1] when the FIB table list is traversed with
hlist_for_each_entry_rcu(), but without a proper lockdep expression.
Since modification of the list is protected by RTNL, silence the warning
by adding a lockdep expression which verifies RTNL is held.

Like commit 1cf3bfc ("bpf: Support 64-bit pointers to kfuncs")
for s390x, add support for 64-bit pointers to kfuncs for LoongArch.
Since the infrastructure is already implemented in BPF core, the only
thing need to be done is to override bpf_jit_supports_far_kfunc_call().
Before this change, several test_verifier tests failed:
# ./test_verifier | grep # | grep FAIL
thesofproject#119/p calls: invalid kfunc call: ptr_to_mem to struct with non-scalar FAIL
thesofproject#120/p calls: invalid kfunc call: ptr_to_mem to struct with nesting depth > 4 FAIL
thesofproject#121/p calls: invalid kfunc call: ptr_to_mem to struct with FAM FAIL
thesofproject#122/p calls: invalid kfunc call: reg->type != PTR_TO_CTX FAIL
thesofproject#123/p calls: invalid kfunc call: void * not allowed in func proto without mem size arg FAIL
thesofproject#124/p calls: trigger reg2btf_ids[reg->type] for reg->type > __BPF_REG_TYPE_MAX FAIL
thesofproject#125/p calls: invalid kfunc call: reg->off must be zero when passed to release kfunc FAIL
thesofproject#126/p calls: invalid kfunc call: don't match first member type when passed to release kfunc FAIL
thesofproject#127/p calls: invalid kfunc call: PTR_TO_BTF_ID with negative offset FAIL
thesofproject#128/p calls: invalid kfunc call: PTR_TO_BTF_ID with variable offset FAIL
thesofproject#129/p calls: invalid kfunc call: referenced arg needs refcounted PTR_TO_BTF_ID FAIL
thesofproject#130/p calls: valid kfunc call: referenced arg needs refcounted PTR_TO_BTF_ID FAIL
thesofproject#486/p map_kptr: ref: reference state created and released on xchg FAIL
This is because the kfuncs in the loaded module are far away from
__bpf_call_base:
ffff800002009440 t bpf_kfunc_call_test_fail1 [bpf_testmod]
9000000002e128d8 T __bpf_call_base
The offset relative to __bpf_call_base does NOT fit in s32, which breaks
the assumption in BPF core. Enable bpf_jit_supports_far_kfunc_call() lifts
this limit.
Note that to reproduce the above result, tools/testing/selftests/bpf/config
should be applied, and run the test with JIT enabled, unpriv BPF enabled.
With this change, the test_verifier tests now all passed:
# ./test_verifier
...

bardliao pushed a commit to bardliao/linux that referenced this pull request Apr 2, 2026
The RDMA subsystem exposes DMA regions through the verbs interface, which
assumes a coherent system. Use the DMA_ATTR_REQUIRE_COHERENCE attribute
to ensure coherency and avoid taking the SWIOTLB path.
The RDMA verbs programming model resembles HMM and assumes concurrent DMA
and CPU access to userspace memory. The hardware and programming model
support "one-sided" operations initiated remotely without any local CPU
involvement or notification. These include ATOMIC compare/swap, READ, and
WRITE. A remote CPU can use these operations to traverse data structures,
manipulate locks, and perform similar tasks without the host CPU’s
awareness. If SWIOTLB substitutes memory or DMA is not cache coherent,
these use cases break entirely.
In-kernel RDMA is fine with incoherent mappings because kernel users do
not rely on one-sided operations in ways that would expose these issues.
A given region may also be exported multiple times, which can trigger
warnings about cacheline overlaps. These warnings are suppressed when the
new attribute is used.

oder-chiou pushed a commit to oder-chiou/linux-soundwire that referenced this pull request May 5, 2026
The "auxtrace_info" and "auxtrace" functions are not set in "tool" member of
"annotate". As a result, perf annotate does not support parsing itrace data.
Before:
# perf record -e arm_spe_0/branch_filter=1/ -a sleep 1
[ perf record: Woken up 9 times to write data ]
[ perf record: Captured and wrote 20.874 MB perf.data ]
# perf annotate --stdio
Error:
The perf.data data has no samples!
Solution:
1. Add itrace options in help,
2. Set hook functions of "id_index", "auxtrace_info" and "auxtrace" in perf_tool.
After:
# perf record --all-user -e arm_spe_0/branch_filter=1/ ls
Couldn't synthesize bpf events.
perf.data
[ perf record: Woken up 1 times to write data ]
[ perf record: Captured and wrote 0.010 MB perf.data ]
# perf annotate --stdio

LE Create CIS command shall not be sent before all CIS Established
events from its previous invocation have been processed. Currently it is
sent via hci_sync but that only waits for the first event, but there can
be multiple.
Make it wait for all events, and simplify the CIS creation as follows:
Add new flag HCI_CONN_CREATE_CIS, which is set if Create CIS has been
sent for the connection but it is not yet completed.
Make BT_CONNECT state to mean the connection wants Create CIS.
On events after which new Create CIS may need to be sent, send it if
possible and some connections need it. These events are:
hci_connect_cis, iso_connect_cfm, hci_cs_le_create_cis,
hci_le_cis_estabilished_evt.
The Create CIS status/completion events shall queue new Create CIS only
if at least one of the connections transitions away from BT_CONNECT, so
that we don't loop if controller is sending bogus events.
This fixes sending multiple CIS Create for the same CIS in the
"ISO AC 6(i) - Success" BlueZ test case:
